The Annevoie Gardens, located in the province of Namur, are among the most beautiful gardens in Europe, offering an exceptional setting to discover during your visit to the region.
The garden-side façade shows the different construction periods, the first of which dates back to 1627. The entire château forms a gentle curve that surprisingly follows that of the Rouillon valley in which the gardens were laid out. The aesthetic quality of the gardens and their layout are simply magnificent to discover from a hot air balloon basket, more info at www.annevoie.be
The château is currently under renovation; very important works are required for the preservation of the site.
The interior of the château cannot be visited.
However, you will have the opportunity to discover the 18th-century Water Gardens, a true must-see that will amaze both young and old. Known for their beauty, historical and cultural value, the Annevoie Gardens have, for over 250 years, gracefully combined the magic of water with the purity of a landscaped garden style. Created in 1758 by Charles-Alexis de Montpellier, they harmoniously blend French formality, English fantasy, and Italian charm through numerous water features. The Annevoie Gardens place great importance on respect for nature, as they mow late in the season and do not use pesticides or weedkillers.
Take-offs take place in the parking area located opposite the main entrance of the Gardens.
PRACTICAL INFO: we strongly recommend that you plan your return to the launch site; your friends, your family,… can follow our 4 x 4 vehicle which is in contact with the balloon and can thus pick you up at the landing site, which is not the same as the take-off site, is not known in advance, and is located approximately +/- 15 km from the take-off point. For the Namur region, if you really have no transport solution, we will bring your driver (the person driving your vehicle) back to the launch site after the flight.
