Trois-Ponts and Coo

The municipality of Trois-Ponts extends its mainly wooded territory from west to east, from Haute-Bodeux to Logbiermé near Stavelot, a particularly wild and beautiful region to discover.

It is located in the heart of our beautiful Belgian Ardennes and is crossed by numerous waterways carving deep valleys with steep slopes, such as the Wanne climb featured in the legendary cycling race “Liège-Bastogne-Liège”. The “Salm” river crosses the municipality from south to north before flowing into the Amblève, which marks the municipality’s northern boundary. Downstream are the village of Coo and its famous waterfall, as well as the lower and upper reservoirs of the hydroelectric power station. The waterfall itself and the village are located within the territory of Stavelot, but the upper reservoirs of the power station are part of the territory of Trois-Ponts. The Amblève valley is particularly beautiful to fly over in a hot air balloon.
