Laboru Aerodrome
The Laboru airfield is occasionally chosen by the Montgolfiere.be team as a launch site.
Located in Heusy, between Verviers and Theux, the Laboru airfield has been a renowned site for gliders and small tourist aircraft for many years. A pleasant bar and terrace offer the opportunity to watch the gliders and airplanes in action.
Access is easy via the E42 motorway, allowing direct access to the Laboru site.
The scenery is breathtaking... You take off from an airfield, with a typical aviation landscape beneath you, before gradually being carried towards greener, more wooded panoramas. Discovering the Fagnes nature reserve will certainly be one of the spectacular highlights not to be missed. At that precise moment, there will be nothing but you and nature.
Important information: Return to the launch site is not provided by the montgolfiere.be team, so you must arrange your own return.
Your friends, family, etc., can follow our 4x4 vehicle, which is in contact with the balloon, and pick you up at the landing site. This landing site is not known in advance and is located approximately 15 km as the crow flies from the launch site.
HOW TO GET THERE?
By the Liège-Mons motorway (E42), take exit 7, Heusy – Polleur - Theux, and follow signs for Heusy - Polleur (N657). Near Verviers, turn right towards Verviers, Heusy, Polleur (N657). You are now on the road to Oneux.
