Ideally located in the beautiful Terres-de-Meuse region, Château de Limont has a fascinating history dating back to the 13th century. This unique site is the perfect starting point for your hot air balloon adventures, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
Please note that the take-off site for hot air balloon flights is determined by the pilot on the same day, depending on the wind direction. This precaution is taken to avoid the airspace of the nearby Bierset Airport and to ensure a safe flight experience.
Between 1220 and 1230, the knight Robert of Limont received the land of Limont from his father, where he built a fortified house. Several generations of knights and squires succeeded one another on this estate, including the Datin family from Liège in the 14th century, then the Brabant family until the early 18th century.
Marie-Thérèse de Grumsel, widow of Nicolas d'Othée, became owner of the château, followed by Gilles-Lambert d'Othée, Knight of the Holy Realm and Baron of Haneffe. His descendants kept the estate until 1880, when the Naveau family acquired it. In 1992, the château underwent a complete renovation, with an investment of 5 million euros.
Château de Limont offers modern facilities, including a hotel and a restaurant, perfectly suited for organizing weddings and events.
On site, a variety of activities await both children and adults: jacuzzi, massages, cycling, pétanque, table tennis, and walks in the park. Nearby, you will also find a swimming pool, a golf course, marked hiking trails, horse riding, bowling, and of course, hot air balloon flights!
Come and enjoy an unforgettable experience at Château de Limont and take in the beauty of the Terres-de-Meuse region while discovering its rich history and activities.

The landing site is not known in advance and is usually located approximately 15 km as the crow flies from the take-off point. Make sure you have a plan in place for your return.
